SMK Negeri 3 Jepara was originally called SMEA PEMDA Jepara, founded in 1974 with Decree No. B.24/1974 dated 1 January 1974. in its development it changed to Jepara State SMEA in 1981 Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 0236/0/1981 dated March 7 1981. then starting March 7 1977[3] with SK. Minister of Education and Culture No. 036/0/97 changed its name to Jepara State Vocational High School (SMK) 3 Business and Management Group with Secretary and Sales Skills Program with Secretarial / Office Administration, Accounting and Sales Skills Program. In the 2005/2006 Training Year, SMK Negeri 3 Jepara opened a Multimedia Skills Program, in the 2007/2008 Training Year, SMK Negeri 3 Jepara opened a Computer Network Engineering Skills Program.
